SPOTV News reporter Choi Sinae — Pop singer Baek Ji-young broke down in tears after seeing her husband, actor Jeong Seok-won, in elderly makeup.
On May 2, Baek uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled “Baek Ji-young ♥ Jeong Seok-won: A Realistic Senior-Experience Date (Warning: Emotional).”
The couple tried on age makeup to imagine what they might look like about 30 years from now. While she was in the makeup chair, Baek Ji-young wrote a letter picturing her husband at 70.
“I almost cried while writing it,” she said. “I pictured having grandchildren,” and she began to sob. Jeong Seok-won tried to steady her, urging, “Don’t go into melodrama.” Baek added that she planned to watch Seok-won’s transformation from a distance — seeing it all at once would be too much; she worried it would overwhelm her.
After composing herself, Baek finished the letter and watched her husband’s transformation, then cried again. “You can see how much he’s been through just from his face,” she said. Jeong Seok-won thanked her, calling her incredibly kind and saying she has a childlike heart.
