2026 KOPA & NIKON Press Photo Awards: Discover the Best in Sports and Entertainment Photography

[Sports Today reporter Kwon Kwang-il] The 2026 KOPA & NIKON Press Photo Awards, organized by the Korea Online Press Photographers Association (KOPA), led by President Kim Han-jun, and sponsored by Nikon Imaging Korea (CEO Jeong Hae-hwan), were held on the afternoon of May 18 at the Riviera Hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
The ceremony drew KOPA President Kim Han-jun and Vice President Paeng Hyun-jun, Nikon Imaging Korea CEO Jeong Hae-hwan, and aespa member Karina. Comedian Yoo Jae-pil served as host.
The awards considered every photo KOPA members shot in the field over the past year.
Winners were selected across the photogenic, sports, and entertainment categories through votes by KOPA member organizations, honoring the photographers who worked hardest in each field over the past year.
This year’s journalist awards went to: Paeng Hyun-jun of Sports Today (Best, Sports); Han Hyuk-seung of MyDaily (Excellence, Sports); Ahn Seong-hoo of TV Daily (Best, Entertainment); Kim Han-jun of Xportsnews (Excellence, Entertainment); and Park Se-wan of JTBC Enter News, recognized in the photogenic category for a shot of aespa’s Karina.
