[Sports Today reporter Kwon Kwang-il] The 2026 KOPA & NIKON Press Photo Awards, organized by the Korea Online Press Photographers Association (KOPA; President Kim Han-joon) and sponsored by Nikon Imaging Korea (CEO Jeong Hae-hwan), were held on the afternoon of the 18th at the Riviera Hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
The event was attended by KOPA President Kim Han-joon and Vice President Paeng Hyun-joon, Nikon Imaging Korea CEO Jeong Hae-hwan, and aespa member Karina. Comedian Yoo Jae-pil served as the host.
The 2026 KOPA & NIKON Press Photo Awards considered all images KOPA members captured in the field over the past year.
Winners in the photogenic, sports, and entertainment categories were chosen by a vote of KOPA member organizations, honoring the photographers who put in the most effort across each field during the year. This year’s awards recognized: Paeng Hyun-joon of Sports Today (Top Sports), Han Hyuk-seung of MyDaily (Sports Excellence), Ahn Seong-hoo of TV Daily (Top Entertainment), Kim Han-joon of XportsNews (Entertainment Excellence), and Park Se-wan of JTBC EnterNews, who won the Photogenic award for her shot of aespa’s Karina.
