[Sports Today reporter Kwon Kwang-il] The Korea Online Press Photographers Association (KOPA), chaired by Kim Han-jun, hosted the 2026 KOPA & NIKON Press Photo Awards on the afternoon of the 18th at the Riviera Hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. Nikon Imaging Korea, led by CEO Jung Hae-hwan, sponsored the event.
Attendees included KOPA Chair Kim Han-jun, Vice Chair Paeng Hyun-jun, Nikon Imaging Korea CEO Jung Hae-hwan and aespa member Karina. Comedian Yoo Jae-pil served as emcee.
The awards considered every photograph KOPA members captured in the field over the past year.
Across the Photogenic, Sports and Entertainment categories, winners were chosen by a full vote of KOPA member organizations. The awards recognized the photographers who worked hardest in each category over the past year. This year’s winners included Paeng Hyun-jun of Sports Today (Top prize, Sports); Han Hyuk-seung of MyDaily (Excellence Award, Sports); An Seong-hu of TV Daily (Top prize, Entertainment); Kim Han-jun of XportsNews (Excellence Award, Entertainment); and Park Se-wan of JTBC Enter News, who photographed aespa’s Karina (Photogenic).
