TWICE Secures First AMA Win: A Major Milestone for K-Pop Icons

[TV Daily Reporter Kim Han-gil] TWICE won the Best Female K-Pop Artist award at the American Music Awards (AMA), one of the three major pop music ceremonies in the United States.

The 2026 American Music Awards took place on the 25th (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

That night, TWICE took home the trophy for Best Female K-Pop Artist. The victory — their first AMA win on only their second nomination — reaffirmed their standing as one of K-pop’s premier girl groups.

Meanwhile, TWICE is currently on a European tour. After concerts in Lisbon, Barcelona, Paris, Turin and Berlin, they are at the tour’s midpoint and are scheduled to perform at Cologne’s Lanxess Arena on the 26th.
