Four years after casting Las Vegas in purple, BTS returns with a markedly different visual identity. This time the group aims to transform the U.S. entertainment capital into a sprawling “red carpet of light,” channeling the vivid aesthetic of their new album “ARIRANG.”
On May 8, HYBE unveiled plans for “THE CITY LAS VEGAS,” a citywide entertainment project tied to BTS’s upcoming world tour, announcing it on the fan platform Weverse.

Las Vegas is central to BTS’s global rollout: the city debuted the “THE CITY” brand in 2022. HYBE frames this return not merely as another tour stop but as a large-scale celebration of the group’s global comeback alongside fans worldwide.
The Las Vegas edition retains elements introduced in “THE CITY SEOUL” but pivots toward a spectacle-driven model that capitalizes on the city’s iconic infrastructure. Whereas Seoul emphasized a blend of traditional Korean aesthetics and modern reinterpretation, Las Vegas will highlight immersive, large-scale visual experiences tailored to its entertainment milieu.

Red, the signature color of BTS’s new album “ARIRANG,” serves as the project’s central visual motif. On opening night, May 23, major stretches of the Las Vegas Strip are expected to glow red as a welcome for fans traveling from around the world.
The initiative will expand into multi-sensory city programming: scheduled events include fireworks at the MGM Grand, pop-up experiences at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, and BTS-themed wraps for the monorail.
HYBE says the citywide integration is intended to extend BTS’s reach beyond music, transforming Las Vegas into an immersive entertainment environment tied directly to the group’s global fandom.
As BTS and their fan base, known as ARMY, reunite in Las Vegas for the first time in four years, industry observers are watching to see how the expanded “THE CITY” model will factor into the group’s broader intellectual property strategy.
After Las Vegas, HYBE plans to roll out “THE CITY” initiatives in additional cities, including Busan, as part of its broader global entertainment-platform strategy.
