Seoul-born lifestyle select shop NICE WEATHER is making its Japan debut: the brand opens its first store at Hankyu Department Store in Osaka on April 26, marking a bold step into the international market.

This rollout isn’t just another overseas pop-up — it’s a strategic launch built on partnerships with Japan’s top retail players. In February, NICE WEATHER signed a master license and exclusive distribution agreement with ITOCHU Corporation, one of Japan’s largest trading houses, and with fashion and lifestyle specialist UNITED ARROWS.

Under the terms, ITOCHU will act as the master licensee in Japan, overseeing brand strategy and overall operations, while UNITED ARROWS will serve as the sub-licensee, managing store operations and product distribution. Together, their deep market knowledge and robust infrastructure give NICE WEATHER a strong foundation for local success.

Hankyu Department Store in Osaka is an iconic destination known for its concentration of premium shoppers. By securing space on a key floor alongside globally minded brands like Gentle Monster, NICE WEATHER has landed the ideal stage to broadcast its distinct concept.

The Osaka store will feature NICE WEATHER’s private-label pieces alongside collaborative items with local Korean and Japanese brands. More than a retail space, it aims to present a curated lifestyle edit—turning shopping into an inspirational experience rather than just a transaction.

Launched in Seoul in 2020, NICE WEATHER quickly gained traction by styling itself as a “next-generation convenience store,” offering tightly edited selections across beauty, fashion, home, and food. Its strong loyalty among Millennials and Gen Z—often referred to as the MZ generation in Korea—has become a core competitive advantage.

Using the Osaka location as a launchpad, the brand plans additional openings in major Japanese cities, including Tokyo, and aims to expand further across Asia through local partnerships as it pursues global growth.

A company representative said, \”We’re honored to partner with leading Japanese firms ITOCHU and UNITED ARROWS. Through this flagship store, we will faithfully deliver NICE WEATHER’s identity and brand experience to local customers.\”
