On the 4th, W Concept picked four core trends poised to shape the summer fashion market: City Vacance, Sheer Color, Cool Minimal and Soft Formal. Sheer Color describes garments made from thin, translucent fabrics.
W Concept predicts refined designs that work as everyday pieces, styled with lightweight shirts to bridge city and vacation vibes. Translucent pastel items that brighten the complexion are expected to stand out—and many such pieces are already hitting the market.
For example, LF’s Daks Golf recently unveiled its New Pleats Collection. The collection features organza jumpers with a subtle sheerness and pieces that elevate both fabric and silhouette appeal.
Samsung C&T’s women’s brand anggae used sheer materials to craft the concept for its pop-up store, which runs through the 17th.
Reflecting these trends, W Concept is hosting a Summer Preshow through the 14th to showcase the looks expected to surge this season.
A W Concept spokesperson said, ‘Because of the early heat, summer clothing sales rose 20% year-over-year during the two weeks from April 17 to April 30.’ They added, ‘With hotter weather arriving earlier than usual and the vacation season approaching, related product launches are rolling out one after another.’
