How Myeonsarang’s ‘Katsu Udon’ Meal Kit Transforms Your Dining Experience: Affordable, Delicious, and Convenient!

Noodle and sauce specialist Myeonsarang has newly introduced a budget-friendly frozen udon meal kit ‘Katsu Udon,’ tailored for the high-inflation era to reduce the price burden.

On October 10th, the company announced that this product maintains the authentic taste of udon while lowering the entry barrier for frozen noodle beginners to easily approach it.

The most notable feature of this product is that it achieves restaurant-level quality while reducing the economic burden. Myeonsarang explained that they focused on preserving the elasticity of the noodles, which is crucial for udon, and the deep flavor of the broth.

In the noodle-making process, they adopted a multi-water aging method, adding plenty of water and taking time to age the dough. Additionally, through hand-stretching and hand-kneading techniques, they completed udon noodles with a soft yet chewy texture by stretching and pounding the dough.

For the broth, they used a method of directly simmering katsuobushi, kezuribushi, and kombu from Wando. The company explained that this resulted in a clean yet deep-flavored soup stock.

The rapid freezing technique is also a noteworthy technology. Through this method of freezing fresh ingredients as they are, the noodles maintain their elasticity even after cooking, and there is no deterioration in taste or quality even with long-term storage, according to the company.

They also showed innovation in terms of cooking convenience. It’s made as a one-pack frozen noodle meal kit with noodles, sauce, and toppings all in one package, eliminating the need for separate thawing. It’s suitable for modern people with busy lifestyles as it only takes about 3 minutes to cook using boiling water or a microwave to enjoy restaurant-quality udon.

It’s also possible to customize it into your own special recipe by adding various ingredients according to personal preference.

A Myeonsarang representative explained, “This product is carefully planned in terms of price and composition to preserve the unique taste and quality of udon while allowing consumers trying frozen noodles for the first time to experience it without burden.”

They added, “We hope that more consumers will directly confirm the excellent quality of frozen noodles and naturally enjoy them as everyday meals.”

This new product can be purchased from Myeonsarang’s brand store on Naver and major online shopping malls such as Coupang.
