Sempio announced on the 10th that their groundbreaking ‘pea soy sauce’ has made its debut in the U.S. market through Costco Wholesale Corporation.

Since late last year, Sempio has been tantalizing taste buds with their pea soy sauce in 45 Costco Wholesale Corporation stores throughout California. This unique condiment is crafted by fermenting peas instead of soybeans, allowing soy-sensitive foodies abroad to savor the rich, umami flavor of Korean soy sauce. Sempio developed this product with a global palate in mind, aiming to revolutionize the international condiment scene.

The pea soy sauce, which passed Costco Wholesale Corporation’s notoriously strict quality standards, was meticulously designed for the global market from start to finish. By employing patented fermentation microorganisms tailored to pea protein’s unique properties, Sempio’s food scientists perfected the fermentation and aging process. The result? A sauce that packs a savory punch while maintaining a smooth, mellow flavor profile. As a gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO product, it’s right on trend with today’s health-conscious consumers. No wonder it’s been turning heads at major international food expos like Germany’s Anuga and France’s SIAL Paris, where it was hailed as a game-changing innovation.

Sempio isn’t just riding the wave of food trends – they’re making them. The company invests a whopping 5% of its annual revenue into R&D, constantly pushing the boundaries of traditional Korean flavors. Their R&D Center, Korea’s first fermentation-focused research hub, is like a flavor lab on steroids. With over 3,000 types of microorganisms at their disposal, Sempio’s food scientists can fine-tune the taste, aroma, and color of their products with surgical precision. It’s no wonder they’ve racked up more than 90 patents in the process.

A Sempio spokesperson couldn’t contain their excitement, saying, “Our pea soy sauce breaking into Costco Wholesale Corporation – a major player in U.S. retail – is proof positive of our global appeal. We’ve already wowed critics at international food fairs with our taste and innovation, and now we’re taking it straight to the consumers. But we’re not stopping here – we’re on a mission to win over taste buds worldwide with our authentic K-flavors. From our zingy green sauce to our pea soy sauce and organic gochujang, we’re bringing the heat to the global condiment game!”
