[World Today] Get ready, Korea! The Dubai Chocolate drinks that took the U.S. and Canada by storm are finally making their way to your local Starbucks.

Starbucks Korea, under the leadership of CEO Son Jeong-hyun, is set to launch two mouthwatering variations of the ‘Dubai Chocolate Drinks’ across the nation on February 11. These beverages have been causing quite a stir in North American Starbucks locations.

The buzz-worthy newcomers are the ‘Iced Dubai Chocolate Mocha’ and ‘Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha.’ These drinks first hit the scene in January across the U.S. and Canada, where they quickly became a social media sensation. Starbucks took notice of a trending custom recipe among customers and turned it into an official menu item, much to everyone’s delight.

As the Dubai Chocolate craze swept the globe, Korean customers began clamoring for a taste. Responding to the demand, Starbucks decided to bring the exact North American recipes to Korea, giving fans what they’ve been asking for.

The ‘Iced Dubai Chocolate Mocha’ is a coffee lover’s dream. It combines bold espresso with a luscious chocolate mocha sauce, creating a deep, rich flavor profile. The drink is then topped with a velvety pistachio cream cold foam, adding a delightful nutty twist.

For those who prefer their drinks caffeine-free, the ‘Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha’ is a perfect choice. This beverage beautifully balances pistachio sauce with the bittersweet notes of matcha. A layer of chocolate cream cold foam crowns the drink, resulting in a smooth and indulgent treat.

Both drinks are visually stunning, featuring layers that showcase the signature colors of Dubai Chocolate. By combining globally trending flavors with the chocolate and matcha profiles that Korean customers already adore, Starbucks is expecting these new offerings to be a massive hit.

Choi Hyun-jeong, Starbucks’ food and beverage development manager, shared her excitement: “We’re thrilled to bring the highly requested Dubai Chocolate drinks to Korea through our global collaboration.” She added, “We’re committed to continually developing innovative menu items that reflect both customer desires and current trends, ensuring a unique Starbucks experience with every visit.”

But wait, there’s more! Since January 30, Starbucks has also been tempting taste buds with the ‘Dubai Chewy Roll.’ This decadent dessert features crispy kadaif pastry and rich pistachio paste, all wrapped in gooey marshmallow. You can find this treat at six select locations: Centerfield R, Starfield COEX Mall R, Yongsan Station Summit R, Reserve Gwanghwamun, Seongsu Station, and Hongdae Donggyo. Just remember, there’s a limit of two per customer, so don’t miss out!
