Chef Choi Kang-rok’s food-loving journey comes to a delicious end in ‘Sikdeokhu’ finale.
The sixth and final episode of the web series ‘Sikdeokhu’ dropped on the ‘Theo’ YouTube channel on the afternoon of the 5th. Viewers were treated to a mouthwatering tour of Kyoto’s vegetable scene, led by the charismatic Chef Choi Kang-rok.
In this veggie-centric episode, Choi took us on a flavorful adventure through Kyoto’s culinary hotspots. He explored the Ohara farmers’ market, indulged in an organic vegetable buffet, wandered through the bustling Nishiki Market, and savored dishes at an obanzai specialty restaurant – all to showcase the irresistible charm of vegetables.
As Choi boarded his flight back to Korea, he couldn’t help but reminisce about the crispy chili tempura he’d tasted the day before. His enthusiasm was contagious as he gushed about how vegetables can be just as satisfying as meat dishes. The episode wrapped up with a bittersweet montage of Choi’s film photos, accompanied by a heartfelt message: “Thank you for joining Sikdeokhu’s journey.” It was a touching farewell that left fans craving more.
But don’t worry, foodies! Chef Choi isn’t disappearing from our screens anytime soon. He recently made a triumphant return to Netflix’s reality show ‘Black-and-White Chefs: Cooking Class War’ Season 2, where he clinched the top spot and was crowned the ultimate culinary champion.
