From zesty yuzu to Yuzagol Hanwoo: where health meets flavor. Yuzu packs vitamin C for an immune lift. Seaweed and miyeok drive nationwide demand. Specialty goods shaped by pristine nature and the care of local farmers and fishers.

Goheung County is boosting the brand value of its local agricultural and marine products by spotlighting eight specialties grown in its clean, natural environment. The lineup — yuzu, pomegranate, gim (dried laver), miyeok (wakame), kelp, oysters, garlic, and Yuzagol Hanwoo beef — pairs wellness benefits with bold flavor and has earned recognition across the country.
One of Goheung’s standout products, yuzu, is high in vitamin C and calcium, making it great for preventing colds and supporting the immune system. Pomegranate, rich in natural phytoestrogens, is drawing attention as a health food for menopausal women. Gim is packed with protein and vitamins and is considered a superfood; it supplies roughly 80% of the seaweed used nationwide for gimbap (Korean seaweed rolls).
Miyeok supports postpartum recovery and helps regulate blood pressure. Kelp can help prevent constipation and is often used in diet plans. Oysters — often called “the milk of the sea” — promote skin health and can help ward off anemia. Garlic is well-known for boosting immunity and helping with fatigue recovery. Yuzagol Hanwoo cattle are raised on functional feed that includes yuzu, promoting healthier livestock.
A Goheung County official said, “Goheung’s eight specialties reflect the area’s pristine natural environment and the dedication of its farmers and fishers. We will continue promoting the brand and improving quality to increase farm and fishery incomes and energize the local economy.”
These products, grown in a clean environment, give consumers both health benefits and great taste, further enhancing Goheung County’s brand value.
