[Herald Economy=Reporter Kim Yong-hoon] Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) is recruiting expert instructors to help shape the future of the agrifood industry. The goal is to sharpen training, expand hands-on talent development, and keep pace with fast-moving trends like artificial intelligence (AI) and food tech.

aT’s Agrifood Distribution Training Institute announced on March 17 that it will recruit new instructors for the first half of 2026, with applications accepted through May 14.

The push aims to grow specialized training programs that reflect shifting industry needs and accelerating digital transformation. aT is looking for instructors in seven core areas: AI and digital transformation; pet food and livestock; food tech; startups; production and supply management; regional food systems; and food business management and customer service.

Eligible applicants include professionals currently working in these fields, people with relevant degrees or certifications, and experts who can teach at the institute. Those who bring course content that stands apart from existing offerings will be added to the instructor pool and given priority for teaching opportunities.

Applications are being accepted in two rounds. The first window ran from March 11 to May 14; the second opens June 1 and runs through October 16. Applicants should submit materials by email. Detailed guidelines and application forms are available on the corporation’s and the institute’s websites.

Oh Chang-jun, director of the Agrifood Distribution Training Institute, noted, “Since opening in 1985, the institute has trained about 220,000 people and built a reputation as a specialized training organization. We must continually upgrade both lectures and content to match the rapidly changing industry.” He added, “We hope experts will take an active role so we can drive the agrifood distribution sector’s digital transformation and strengthen its future competitiveness.”
