(The CEN News / Reporter Jung Seo-hye) The Asia Brand Research Institute’s February 2026 K-Brand Index crowned Nongshim as the top food brand.
The institute picked 30 brands that generated the most food-related searches on major portals during February 2026 and analyzed roughly 39.6 million online data points to determine the rankings.
Nongshim topped the list, reinforcing its reputation for long-standing public trust and the staying power of its signature products. Ottogi came in second and Orion placed third. Rounding out the top ten were CJ CheilJedang (4th), Samyang Foods (5th), Pulmuone (6th), Harim (7th), Maeil Dairies (8th), Binggrae (9th), and Lotte Wellfood (10th).
Han Jeong-geun, CEO of the Asia Brand Research Institute, said, \”The global K-food craze and strong consumer brand preferences are reflected in these rankings. Nongshim and Ottogi earned the top spots thanks to long-established public trust and the competitive strength of their flagship offerings.\”
He added that Orion’s rise to third spot shows an upward trend, while Samyang Foods—drawing attention for its K-ramen exports—moved up to fifth. Harim (7th) and Lotte Wellfood (10th) also cracked the upper ranks thanks to their global competitiveness and export reach, signaling a fast-changing food market landscape.
The K-Brand Index combines multiple metrics—trends, media coverage, social activity, sentiment (positive and negative reactions), activation, community engagement, and an AI index. This ranking is based solely on online index figures and does not include offline sales data. Related materials and detailed analysis will be shared through the institute’s official channels.
Each year, the Asia Brand Research Institute uses its accumulated big data to evaluate major companies and personalities and selects winners for the K-Brand Awards Korea.
