Translation result사진은 [Herald Economy — Reporter Juri Kim] Ediya Coffee says its Gukjungbak Signature Latte has become a standout favorite among foreign visitors to the National Museum of Korea. On April 24, Ediya analyzed payment data from its five shops inside the museum and found that one in six customers this month was a foreign visitor. The company says international customers are actively choosing items that reflect the museum’s atmosphere and Korean ingredients. The top pick for foreign customers was the Gukjungbak Signature Latte, made with black sesame, a familiar ingredient in Korean cuisine. After that, their favorite drinks were Americano, café latte, espresso and cappuccino. Domestic customers, meanwhile, ordered Americano most often.Dessert sales showed a similar trend toward Korean flavors: a traditional tea-and-snack set and black sesame steamed rice cake ranked sixth and seventh in overall sales. Honey-filled hotteok and bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastries) also proved popular.“We found that foreign customers tend to prefer menu items that incorporate Korean ingredients and sensibilities,” an Ediya Coffee spokesperson said. “We will expand menu offerings that reflect each store’s character and customer demand.”
