[JoyNews24 Reporter Kim Yang-su] Jung Young-su, 55, head of the international division at Dongsung Accounting Firm, says walking 20,000 steps a day and regular trekking are the pinnacle of health care.

On the 25th, JoyNews24, an upscale entertainment-and-business title led by CEO Lee Chang-ho, hosted the 13th “Finding Hope” hiking and trekking class with mountaineer Capt. Oh Eun-sun at Meeting Square in Ui-dong, Gangbuk District, Seoul (hereafter the Trekking Class).

Jung joined the event with members of Bizdom, the CEO social club he has chaired for three years. Bizdom gathers next-generation leaders and CEOs of mid-sized companies.

Jung, who underwent brain-hemorrhage surgery at Seoul National University Hospital in his 40s, maintains his health through daily walks and trekking. He said he walks about two hours a day on Daemosan near his home—roughly 15,000 to 20,000 steps—and that daily walking keeps him fit. He advised that walking too much can be exhausting, so it’s important to find the right level that works for you.

For people who spend most of the workday sitting and need focused concentration, walking is one of the best exercises. It’s also excellent for mental well-being. Nothing is more precious than health—keep walking and savor the spring in good shape, he said.

The trekking event once again followed the Bukhansan azalea ridge, as in the springs of 2022 and 2025. Lined with azaleas and cherry blossoms, the spring flower path offers an ideal vantage point to take in Bukhansan’s scenery at a glance.

Meaning was added to the event by running it as a Hope Walk: completing the course generated donations for neighbors in need.

The event was hosted by JoyNews24 and co-organized by the Korea University Alpine Club and iNews24, with support from People and Mountains, the Korea Forest Service, and the Korean Alpine Federation. European athleisure brand ODLO and Norwegian outdoor brand Norrona participated as title sponsors.
