Translation resultHa [Herald Muse=Reporter Kim Na-yul] Ha Won-mi, the wife of former baseball star Choo Shin-soo, recently treated her daughter to a glamorous meal at an upscale New York restaurant.

On the 29th, Ha posted a video to her YouTube channel “Ha Won-mi” titled, “U.S. episode: We visited a New York restaurant only Black Card holders can go to.”

In the video, Ha gets emotional: “My daughter is starting high school and is going to boarding school. I’ll leave her here and go back to our home in Dallas. Won’t she miss her mom?” she asked, sounding wistful.

She gave viewers a tour of her daughter’s dorm and helped with unpacking. “I bought a plant. You can take care of it without Mom, right?” she teased.

Facing four years apart from her daughter, Ha returned home alone and called Choo. “I’m crying so much. My daughter said, ‘Mom, even if I’m not there, be sure to use lip balm,’ and it made me cry. It feels different from when we sent our son off. I have so many memories with my daughter — she’s the one who truly understands me,” she said.

Soon after, Ha went back to visit and took her daughter to New York. “We’re going somewhere really fancy — a restaurant only Black Card holders can get into. We booked it for the first time. They say you can see the entire New York skyline from there,” she said.

The two shared a steak dinner. Ha noted the price shock: a bottle of water was 11,000 KRW (about $8.25). “The bill came to 420,000 KRW (approximately $315), and with tip it was roughly 510,000 KRW (approximately $382.50),” she said, downing the leftover water.
