Starbucks Korea is expanding two Seoul-focused drinks — the Seoul Sunset Omija Fizzio and the Seoul Makgeolli-Scented Cold Brew — to every store in Seoul starting May 6. The company also introduced a new Watermelon Juice Blended at Seoul-area locations to help customers cool off as temperatures rise.

The Seoul specialty drinks first debuted at 100 Seoul stores in March as a way to give both domestic and international visitors a memorable, localized experience. With this rollout, both beverages will now be available across all Starbucks locations in Seoul.

The Seoul Sunset Omija Fizzio is styled to evoke the sunset over palace ponds at popular Seoul landmarks, making it an ideal choice for photo-worthy moments. The Seoul Makgeolli-Scented Cold Brew pairs the aroma of makgeolli — Korea’s traditional rice wine — with coffee in an approachable blend designed for broad appeal. Both drinks highlight Korean ingredients and have been praised on social media and online communities for capturing a sense of Seoul.

Starbucks regularly introduces new drinks and sometimes previews items to reflect evolving customer lifestyles and trends. The Watermelon Juice Blended combines real watermelon flesh and juice for bold fruit flavor, finished with a chocolate-peanut topping that mimics watermelon seeds for a playful look and texture. That drink will be available nationwide starting in late May.

Choi Hyun-jung, head of food and beverage development at Starbucks, said, “We hope the Seoul specialty drinks become highlights that add a romantic touch to travelers’ visits. We will continue offering distinctive Starbucks menu items that create enjoyable experiences for our customers.”

Since 1971, Starbucks has ethically sourced and roasted Arabica coffee beans, and today it operates as a global purveyor of premium coffee. Through continuous quality control and a commitment to corporate ethics, the company aims to deliver the signature Starbucks experience to customers.
