GS25 is launching the snack ‘Oing K Smoky Dried Pollack’ exclusively on the 14th, targeting baseball fans in the era of 12 million pro baseball spectators.

On the 11th, GS Retail said the new product was developed to reflect ballpark cheering culture and current food trends. The brand leaned into the baseball theme by featuring the strikeout symbol \”K\” in the product name and packaging.

The snack is designed as a bar-style bite that pairs perfectly with beer at home or in the stands. It uses dried pollack as its main ingredient and blends spicy Cheongyang chili seasoning with a mayo finish for an addictive kick. The Oing series’ signature texture gets a smoky touch to boost savory umami.

After analyzing snack sales at Jamsil Baseball Stadium and nearby stores from January through April, GS25 found that ‘Home Run Ball’ ranked first. It sold about 7.6 times more than the second-place item, underscoring strong demand for baseball-themed snacks. GS25 expects the new product’s straightforward, baseball-linked name to help it become a new go-to stadium snack.

To celebrate the launch, GS25 will run a giveaway at its stores inside Jamsil Baseball Stadium from the 12th through the 14th. The company says it will continue expanding distinctive products that connect sports with cultural content.
