[Sports Seoul | Reporter Byung-geun Bae] Singer Lim Young-woong’s fan club, Busan Youngwoong Era Study House, has been quietly giving back for six years—transforming from a typical fan group into a community that supports marginalized neighbors.

The Study House recently visited the Busan Briquette Bank’s meal-sharing program to run its 56th packed-meal distribution.

Members didn’t stop at dropping off supplies. They cooked, served, and cleaned up too, pitching in to make sure seniors living alone got a warm meal and a reminder that someone’s thinking of them.

This isn’t a one-off effort. For six years the group has donated 700,000 KRW a month (approximately $525). With occasional special donations added in, their total support for the meal program now stands at 102,307,450 KRW (approximately $76,731).

A Study House representative said, “We’ll keep supporting and volunteering for seniors living alone through the power of ‘together.’ We won’t stop this beautiful partnership so singer Lim Young-woong’s positive influence can spread across our communities.”

Beyond donations and volunteer work, the club promotes a healthy fan culture. It runs weekend study rooms and offers energizing programs like healthy-dance classes to boost members’ well-being.

What started as a fan club has grown into a connective force in the neighborhood—bringing people together and showing care where it’s needed most.

A Busan Briquette Bank representative thanked Study House members for their steady commitment, saying their dedication is a huge support to the area’s vulnerable residents.

Fans united under Lim Young-woong’s name have become a different kind of local hero.
