On April 29, Hah Won-mi uploaded a video to her personal YouTube channel showing a visit to Centurion, a New York restaurant that limits entry to certain-tier members, like American Express Centurion (Black) card holders.
She went with her daughter, So-hee, who is living in a dorm in Massachusetts, for a cozy mother-daughter outing with sweeping views of the city.
Since her husband, Choo Shin-soo, isn’t usually a fan of French food, Hah said she and her daughter were excited to try the restaurant’s more adventurous dishes.
They savored top-grade steaks and indulgent desserts and felt satisfied—until the bill arrived and took them by surprise.
What caught Hah’s eye most was the price of the water: two bottles of mineral water totaled about 22,000 KRW (approximately $16.50).
The food bill came to $289, and with tip the total reached 510,000 KRW (approximately $382.50). Laughing to her viewers, she said she’d finish the remaining water since it cost so much—her relatable reaction drew smiles from the audience.
