Chef Ahn Seong-jae’s fine-dining restaurant, Mosu Seoul, has apologized for the so-called ‘wine swap’ controversy.

On the 23rd, Mosu Seoul posted on social media saying, “We bow our heads and offer our sincere apologies for the matter recently raised on online communities.”

A recent post on an online community alleged that a visitor to Mosu experienced a wine swap.

The author, identified as A, claimed the restaurant served a different vintage than the one ordered during the wine-pairing service.
After the ‘wine swap’ controversy spread, Mosu apologized: “On the 19th, during the wine-pairing service, we failed to provide the customer with clear information, which caused confusion. We also did not give a sufficient explanation during our follow-up, which led to great disappointment. We sincerely apologize for this.”

They added that Chef Ahn Seong-jae and the entire Mosu team are taking the matter very seriously and will review all related services to prevent a recurrence.

They pledged not to offer a perfunctory apology and said they will rebuild customer trust through sincere actions and measures to prevent future incidents.
