Lee Jun-hyuk, star of ‘Lady Dua,’ expressed his deep trust in co-star Shin Hye-sun during a recent press event.
The Netflix series ‘Lady Dua’ held its production presentation in Seoul on the 10th, with director Kim Jin-min and leads Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk in attendance.
‘Lady Dua’ follows the story of Sarah Kim (Shin Hye-sun), a woman desperate to become a luxury brand even if it means being counterfeit, and Mu-gyeong (Lee Jun-hyuk), the man determined to uncover her ambitious pursuits.
Shin takes on the role of the enigmatic Sarah Kim, while Lee portrays the tenacious detective Mu-gyeong, who relentlessly tracks her every move.
This project marks a reunion for Lee and Shin, who last worked together eight years ago on the hit series ‘Stranger.’ At the event, Lee spoke highly of his co-star, saying, “I have complete trust in Shin Hye-sun. She’s an exceptional talent, and working with her puts me at ease. Even in scenes where I’m not present, I know she’ll bring everything to life. It makes me want to collaborate with her again.”
Lee jokingly added, “If we were to work together again, I imagine us as a successful couple in our 50s, too comfortable to even consider affairs, just lounging on the couch until the finale forces us out of the house.” His comment elicited laughter from the audience.
Shin reciprocated the sentiment, reflecting on their first collaboration: “When we first met during ‘Stranger,’ I was a complete novice both on set and in my career. Lee Jun-hyuk seemed like this towering senior figure, and I was just trying to keep pace.”
She continued, “He was an incredible mentor, always ready with advice. Reuniting for this project, I felt an unspoken understanding between us. His intense focus during our scenes, the way he looked into my eyes – it all made me feel I could truly rely on him. I’m incredibly grateful for that support.”
‘Lady Dua’ is set to premiere on the 13th.
