[Sports Today reporter Im Si-ryeong] Actor Go Yoon-jung will spend 2026 deepening the kind of emotionally driven work she’s become known for, joining JTBC’s new weekend drama Everyone Is Battling Their Own Worthlessness.
Everyone Is Battling Their Own Worthlessness (working title: MoJaMuSsa), which premieres April 18 on JTBC’s Saturday–Sunday lineup, follows a woman who, isolated among high-flying friends and consumed by envy, unravels and embarks on a search for inner peace.
Go plays Byun Eun-ah, a producer at Choi Film nicknamed “The Axe” for her blunt, unforgiving script critiques. Eun-ah tries to be an unshakeable center in any situation, but she carries a trauma: whenever her emotions reach a breaking point, she suffers nosebleeds. Go is set to portray the character’s contained rage, anxiety and fear of abandonment with disciplined, high-impact acting that reveals Eun-ah’s inner life.
The story charts Eun-ah’s healing through her relationship with Dong-man (Koo Gyo-hwan), a man with a resilient inner core. Their connection helps Eun-ah mend old wounds, while she, in turn, restores Dong-man’s diminished sense of worth into something luminous. Go’s intense gaze and measured emotional work are expected to anchor the series’ tone.
The series is the latest from writer Park Hae-young, whose My Mister and My Liberation Notes generated a cultural stir, and it’s directed by Cha Young-hoon, known for his warm, meticulous mise-en-scène. With Go Yoon-jung on board, the production anticipates a heightened narrative density and a sharper emotional range.
In January, Go starred in Netflix’s Can This Love Be Translated?, showcasing her talents in a buoyant romantic comedy. In Everyone Is Battling Their Own Worthlessness, she shifts to a darker emotional palette, further expanding her repertoire.
Everyone Is Battling Their Own Worthlessness, which will introduce a new facet of Go Yoon-jung’s screen presence, premieres Saturday, April 18 at 10:40 PM on JTBC.
