[Herald Economy = Reporter Kim Kwang-woo] The Democratic Party of Korea on March 14 condemned North Korea’s ballistic missile launch as a provocative act that threatens peace on the Korean Peninsula. The party said it will coordinate with the government to maintain a robust security posture to preserve stability.
Baek Seung-ah, the party’s floor spokesperson, said in a statement that North Korea’s calculated missile provocations and demonstrations of force undermine peace and stability on the peninsula and run counter to the international community’s efforts.
Baek added that military provocations and shows of force yield no benefits. He called on North Korea to immediately halt actions that raise tensions and to return to dialogue and cooperation aimed at peace and prosperity for the Korean Peninsula.
