KT Genie Music said on March 15 that it has partnered with Shinhan Card to offer active-duty service members who hold the Shinhan Nara Sarang Card a 30% discount on the Genie Service Smart Music Listening plan, lowering the price to 5,698 KRW (approximately $4.27) until they are discharged.
Eligible service members who pay for the Genie service with the Shinhan Nara Sarang Card receive the discounted Smart Music Listening plan, which provides unlimited music streaming on mobile devices. Military service varies by branch, with a maximum term of 21 months for the Air Force.
\”We are providing the Genie service through the Shinhan Nara Sarang Card partnership so that South Korea’s service members can relax and recharge with music during off-duty hours,\” said Hong Se-hee, head of KT Genie Music’s Platform Business Division. \”Our focus was to ensure active-duty personnel can enjoy tangible music-service benefits through their entire period of service.\”
The Shinhan Nara Sarang Card is a debit card that supports roughly 200,000 active-duty service members each year. It offers benefits from about 30 leading domestic brands to make purchases at military exchanges (PX), convenience stores, retail outlets and for digital content more affordable.
