CNN reported April 2 (local time) that just 34% of Americans support the war with Iran.

In a poll commissioned by CNN and conducted by SSRS, 34% said they support the Iran war, down seven percentage points from 41% measured immediately after the fighting began (Feb. 28–Mar. 1). Sixty-six percent opposed it. SSRS surveyed 1,201 adults between March 26 and 30; the margin of error is ±3.2 percentage points.

Notably, 43% said they strongly oppose the war, a 12-point increase from the previous survey. Opposition rose further when respondents were asked about costs. When asked whether the war is worth American lives and the financial outlay, 70% said no and 29% said yes. Roughly 70% also opposed an additional $200 billion in funding to finance the Iran campaign (about 266.7 trillion KRW).

The day before, President Trump told the nation in an address that the U.S. has achieved its strategic objectives in the Iran campaign and warned he would carry out additional heavy strikes over the next two to three weeks.
