Both sides agreed to continue working-level discussions on how AI models can be applied in cybersecurity. The ministry also held a meeting with Anthropic and relevant agencies on the 11th to discuss AI‑cybersecurity collaboration.Choi Woo‑hyeok, director of the Information Protection and Network Policy Office at the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, “AI must be a tool for defenders, not attackers. We reached consensus on the need for close public‑private cooperation to address AI security threats. The ministry will continue to bolster domestic AI security capabilities through active cooperation and ongoing working-level talks with global AI companies.”
