51 Partner Companies of the Defense Venture Center Join
The Gyeongbuk Defense Venture Companies Council — intended to serve as the focal point of Gyeongbuk’s defense-industrial cooperation ecosystem — officially launched.
Gumi City officials said on the 14th that the council held its founding meeting at Hotel Geumosan on the 13th to map out the direction for regional defense-industry development.
Of the 82 companies contracted with the Gyeongbuk Defense Venture Center, 51 signed on to participate in the council.
Jung Sang-won, chief executive of JungsuTech, was elected the inaugural chair. He will lead efforts to establish intercompany cooperation mechanisms and expand information sharing to build a sustainable defense industrial base.
