U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said it intercepted all Iranian missile and drone attacks and dismissed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) claim that it had struck U.S. bases.

In a statement on June 2, local time, CENTCOM said U.S. forces successfully repelled multiple ballistic missiles and drones launched by Iran across the Middle East.

According to CENTCOM, Iran fired several ballistic missiles toward regional states, including Kuwait and Bahrain, but none reached their intended targets.

Two missiles headed for Kuwait either fell during flight or broke apart in midair, while three missiles bound for Bahrain were intercepted by U.S. and Bahraini air defenses.

U.S. forces also shot down three Iranian suicide-style attack drones that had been launched at civilian vessels.

CENTCOM said U.S. forces, acting in self-defense, conducted a precision strike on a military ground-control facility on Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran.

There were no reported U.S. casualties.

In a later statement, CENTCOM dismissed as false the IRGC’s claim that it had attacked the U.S. Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain and regional U.S. air bases with missiles and drones.

CENTCOM said all of Iran’s attacks against U.S. forces failed, stressing that troops remain vigilant amid the ongoing cease-fire and are prepared to respond to any threat.
