K-pop sensations ENHYPEN and aespa have solidified their popularity in Japan, earning prestigious ‘Platinum’ certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

The Japan Recording Association announced on the 10th that ENHYPEN’s seventh mini-album ‘THE SIN: VANISH’ and aespa’s Japanese debut single ‘Hot Mess’ have both achieved Gold Disc Platinum status.

Both albums surpassed the 250,000 unit shipment threshold in January, meeting the criteria for Platinum certification.

The Japan Recording Association issues certifications monthly based on cumulative shipments of singles and albums. The tiered system includes Gold (100,000+ units), Platinum (250,000+ units), Double Platinum (500,000+ units), and Triple Platinum (750,000+ units).

In related news, SEVENTEEN’s unit consisting of DK and Seungkwan saw their mini-album ‘So Ya Gok’ receive Gold certification. AILET’s Japanese-language debut single ‘Toki Yo Tomare’ also achieved Gold status, further cementing K-pop’s stronghold in the Japanese music market.
