BTS’s free comeback concert is set to draw a massive crowd of over 15,000 fans at Gwanghwamun Square alone.
Yonhap News reported on the 10th that event organizers are in talks with Seoul city officials to accommodate more than 15,000 attendees in the Gwanghwamun Square area for the upcoming “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG” on February 21. The proposed plan includes both standing areas and designated seating.
The free concert, scheduled for the day after the release of BTS’s fifth studio album “ARIRANG,” promises to be a spectacle. The septet is planning an elaborate entrance, starting from inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, passing through Gwanghwamun and Woldae, before taking the stage at the northern end of Gwanghwamun Square.
Weverse, the group’s fandom platform, has announced a lottery event for fans. Those who pre-order the new album by the 13th will have a chance to win one of 2,000 standing area tickets.
The released seating chart reveals a T-shaped stage with an extended catwalk. The standing area will encircle this central protruding stage, offering fans an up-close experience.
Behind the standing area, designated seating will stretch along Gwanghwamun Square. While the exact seat count is still being finalized, sources suggest a total capacity of around 15,000, including the 2,000 standing spots.
Fans can purchase tickets for the designated seating through NOLTICKET starting on the 23rd.
In an effort to accommodate even more fans, organizers are considering setting up a large screen near Seoul Plaza for public viewing.
In a groundbreaking move, Netflix will exclusively live-stream the concert to over 190 countries and regions worldwide. This marks the streaming giant’s first-ever live concert broadcast for a single artist.
