BLACKPINK Dominates Charts with New Release ‘DEADLINE’
K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has once again proven their star power, sweeping the top spots on Circle Chart’s album, retail album, and Social Chart 3.0 with their latest mini-album ‘DEADLINE.’
On March 5, Circle Chart, operated by the Korea Music Content Association, announced that BLACKPINK’s third mini-album ‘DEADLINE,’ released on February 27 at 2 p.m., claimed the No. 1 position on the album chart for the ninth week of 2026 (February 22-28).
The album’s success was immediate and staggering, selling an impressive 1,750,692 copies in just 36 hours. It simultaneously topped both the weekly and monthly charts, a feat that underscores the group’s immense popularity.
BLACKPINK’s dominance extended across Circle Chart’s platforms, as they also secured the top spot on the retail album chart and Social Chart 3.0. This triple crown victory reflects the global fanbase’s enthusiasm for the group’s first full-member comeback in approximately 3 years and 5 months.
A spokesperson for YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s management company, stated, “Global demand has far exceeded our projections, prompting us to initiate additional production runs.” The group’s impact is further evidenced by their record-breaking first-day sales on the Hanteo Chart, where they moved 1.46 million copies – the highest ever for a K-pop girl group. Their momentum continued as they dominated both weekly and monthly charts within just two and a half days of the release.
‘DEADLINE’ showcases BLACKPINK at their most confident and radiant. The five-track mini-album, spearheaded by the title track ‘GO,’ captivates listeners with its bold, positive energy. It’s a testament to the group’s evolution, blending their most shining moments from the past with their current self-assured image.
