Gil Ryeowon of ‘Miss Trot 4’ Stuns with Perfect Score
The grand finale of TV Chosun’s ‘Miss Trot 4’ aired on March 5, featuring a nail-biting championship round that kept viewers on the edge of their seats.
The atmosphere was electric as family members filled the audience. Gil Ryeowon’s mother and sister, Yoon Tae-hwa’s mother and sibling, Lee Sona’s parents and husband, and Heo Chan-mi’s parents were all present to cheer on the contestants.
Gil Ryeowon took center stage with her rendition of Joo Hyun-mi’s “The King’s Path.” Her performance was nothing short of mesmerizing, showcasing her signature pitch-bending technique known as “kkeokgi” that left the audience spellbound.
The judges were equally impressed. Kim Yong-bin raved, “Her vocal prowess is simply phenomenal.” Bae Ah-hyun went a step further, declaring, “I’m officially passing on my title as the ‘kkeokgi’ cultural asset. She’s poised to become the fresh, new queen of kkeokgi that everyone’s been waiting for.” Master Park Ji-hyun chimed in, predicting, “She’s destined for greatness.”
Gil Ryeowon’s stellar performance earned her a near-perfect score range of 95 to 100, instantly catapulting her to frontrunner status in the competition.
