Singer Woodz has made a splash on music charts with his debut full-length album, released 13 years after his career began.
EDAM Entertainment, Woodz’s agency, reports that his first studio album “Archive. 1,” released at 6 p.m. on the 4th, immediately climbed major domestic music charts including Melon, Bugs, and Genie, garnering significant attention.
On Melon, all tracks from the album successfully entered the HOT100 chart (for both 30-day and 100-day periods). The title track “Human Extinction” peaked at No. 5 on the HOT100 (30-day) chart, while the pre-release single “CINEMA” reached No. 8, indicating widespread interest across the entire album.
Other tracks such as “00:30,” “NA NA NA,” “Super Lazy,” “One Day Fly,” “Root of Evil,” and “Flight” also secured high positions on the charts, demonstrating broad listener appeal. The album’s impact is further evidenced by its presence on other major domestic streaming platforms like Bugs and Genie.
The album is also making waves internationally. As of 7 a.m. on the 5th, “Archive. 1” ranked No. 2 in Thailand, No. 4 in Taiwan, and No. 8 in Hong Kong on the iTunes Top Albums chart, entering charts in nine countries and regions. Both “Human Extinction” and “CINEMA” also charted on Thailand’s iTunes Top Songs chart.
“Archive. 1” represents Woodz’s first full-length album and marks a new beginning after 13 years in the industry. The album encapsulates his musical evolution and showcases his strengths, with Woodz participating in the lyrics, composition, and production of every track. With 17 songs, the album spans a wide range of genres including rock ballad, pop punk, jazz, and alternative R&B, offering a vibrant showcase of Woodz’s musical universe.
The double title track “Human Extinction” delivers a philosophical message about the duality of light and human nature, leaving a powerful impression with its driving band sound. The other title track, “NA NA NA,” captures the moment of falling in love through crisp vocals and an addictive bass riff.
Having built anticipation with pre-release singles “CINEMA” and “Bloodline,” Woodz opens a new chapter in his career with this expansive musical vision on his first full album.
Following the album’s release, Woodz will appear on music shows and engage in various promotional activities. He will debut performances of the double title tracks “Human Extinction” and “NA NA NA” on Mnet’s “M Countdown” airing today (the 5th). He will then kick off his “2026 WOODZ WORLD TOUR ‘Archive. 1′” with a concert at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 14th, continuing his global journey.
