[Sports Today Reporter Lim Si-ryeong] A big-data analysis of idol-group brand reputations for March 2026 placed BTS at No. 1, followed by BLACKPINK and IVE.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 90,240,887 idol-group brand data entries from Feb. 12 through Mar. 12 for its analysis, a 6.41% increase from February’s 84,808,365 entries.
The top 30 idol groups in brand reputation for March 2026, in order, were: BTS, BLACKPINK, IVE, Seventeen, TWICE, Kiki, EXO, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids, Red Velvet, Oh My Girl, BigBang, Tours, aespa, SHINee, Hearts to Hearts, Wanna One, The Boyz, Cortis, Super Junior, Fifty Fifty, Apink, ASTRO, (G)I-DLE, BTOB, Alpha Drive One, LE SSERAFIM, Identity, MONSTA X, and fromis_9.
BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) ranked first with a participation score of 214,914; a media score of 721,019; an interaction score of 3,253,155; and a community score of 5,213,641, giving the group a brand reputation index of 9,402,729. That represents a 5.12% decline from February’s 9,909,639.
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) placed second, posting a participation score of 192,178; a media score of 450,097; an interaction score of 2,063,738; and a community score of 4,524,097, for a brand reputation index of 7,230,109 — a 37.48% increase from February’s 5,259,160.
IVE (Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) came in third with a participation score of 277,046; a media score of 419,872; an interaction score of 1,534,704; and a community score of 4,753,175, totaling a brand reputation index of 6,984,797 — down 8.88% from February’s 7,665,293.
Seventeen (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) ranked fourth with a participation score of 101,234; a media score of 289,960; an interaction score of 1,167,845; and a community score of 4,010,722, producing a brand reputation index of 5,569,761 — a significant 55.44% increase from February’s 3,583,141.
TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Tzuyu) took fifth place with a participation score of 61,348; a media score of 351,991; an interaction score of 985,016; and a community score of 1,270,742, resulting in a brand reputation index of 2,669,097 — up 9.93% from February’s 2,428,074.
Gu Chang-hwan, director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, noted that BTS topped the March 2026 idol-group brand rankings. Link analysis showed strong associations with \”comeback,\” \”breakthrough,\” and \”expectation,\” while keyword analysis highlighted \”Gwanghwamun,\” \”Arirang,\” and \”Netflix.\” Sentiment analysis recorded a 93.91% positive ratio.
