[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] K-pop group ILLIT has added another song to its roster of 100‑million‑stream tracks on global audio and music platform Spotify.
On March 14, Spotify reported that \”jellyous,\” a track from ILLIT’s third mini‑album bomb — performed by Yoona, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha — had reached 100,232,719 streams as of March 12. It is the group’s seventh song to surpass the 100 million mark on the platform.
\”jellyous\” is a dance‑pop tune propelled by relentless, uptempo beats. Its clever lyrics compare the singer’s jealousy over an unknowable \”you\” to a tangled, mixed‑up jelly, capturing a mash‑up of emotions in a playful image. During promotions, ILLIT drew attention for delivering tight, hip choreography while maintaining steady live vocals.
ILLIT’s cumulative Spotify streams across all releases have now topped 2.5 billion. Notably, their debut single \”Magnetic\” exceeded 700 million streams roughly 1 year and 7 months after release — the fastest-ever milestone for a K‑pop group debut single.
In addition, \”Lucky Girl Syndrome,\” \”Cherish (My Love),\” \”Tick‑Tack,\” \”Do the Dance,\” and \”NOT CUTE ANYMORE\” have each surpassed 100 million cumulative streams, underscoring the group’s sustained chart presence.
Meanwhile, ILLIT opens the first leg of their tour, ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥︎’ in SEOUL, today and tomorrow (the 15th) at the Ticketlink Live Arena (formerly the Handball Gymnasium) in Seoul, where they will meet fans. All dates sold out early on the first day of presales, reflecting strong demand for the group.
