On the 20th, when the new album Arirang (ARIRANG) is released, a string of large-scale events will kick off. Media facades will illuminate landmarks such as Sungnyemun and Namsan Seoul Tower starting at 7:00 p.m. The sky above Ttukseom Hangang Park will light up with a roughly 15-minute drone show beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Gwanghwamun Square, the site of BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG, will take on a festive atmosphere. From 7:00 p.m. on the 20th through midnight on the 21st, large outdoor screens around the square will broadcast comeback content. Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and the Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain will stage music-and-light shows; DDP’s program runs from the 20th through April 12, while Banpo Bridge will feature shows on the 21st and 22nd, offering visitors a romantic spectacle.
The program includes interactive experiences as well. At venues hosting The City—Yeouido, DDP, Shinsaegae Square and others—visitors can take part in a stamp-rally check-in mission. Fans can enjoy collecting stamps while exploring the city.
From the 20th to the 22nd, the event plaza at Yeouido Hangang Park will become a music hub. A Love Song Lounge for sharing and listening to music will operate there, tied to the new album’s global campaign slogan, WHAT IS YOUR LOVE SONG? The plaza will feature interactive music experiences, busking, and photo zones.
From April 6–12, Exhibition Hall 1 at DDP will be presented as DDP ARMY Madang. From April 6–19, sites including Cheonggyecheon and Yongsan Station will host the Love Quarter program, using stone walls, staircases and street trees as backdrops for media installations that project the album’s messages through light and video.
Organizers will also roll out programs linked to mobility, lodging, finance and F&B to improve visitor convenience and broaden daily opportunities to experience The City. Collaborations with these new business sectors are expected to deliver more evolved and enjoyable experiences than previous editions.
Full schedules and program details for The City Seoul are available on BTS’s Weverse channel and the official website. Some programs require advance reservations. BTS THE CITY ARIRANG will then roll out sequentially in major cities worldwide, beginning with Seoul.
