The tracklist reveals that My First Kick includes seven songs: the title track ‘눈에 거슬리고 싶어’ (I Want to Be a Nuisance to Your Eyes), ‘Twenty’, ‘Stup!d’, ‘Upside Down’, ‘Scroll’, ‘Roar’ and ‘My Direction.’ After previewing their breezy energy with the pre-release ‘Twenty,’ the group has raised expectations for a more mature musical showing on the full release.
Since their debut album Flip It, Kick It!, through mini album 2 Kick Out, Flip Now!, mini album 3 My First Flip, and the digital single From KickFlip, To WeFlip, the members have consistently taken part in songwriting and production. On the new record, they are credited on every track—including the title—underscoring KickFlip’s distinct artistic voice.
Arriving roughly seven months after the buoyant first-love themes of My First Flip, the fourth mini album captures the awkward spring of being twenty and the ongoing story of first love. With all members just entering their twenties, KickFlip return with a collection full of youthful excitement.
KickFlip’s fourth mini album My First Kick and its title track ‘눈에 거슬리고 싶어’ (I Want to Be a Nuisance to Your Eyes) will be available on streaming platforms at 6:00 PM KST on April 6. On release day, the group will appear on Mnet M2 for a comeback show at 7:00 PM KST, followed by a comeback showcase at 8:00 PM KST.
