[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] aespa member Winter has donated ₩100,000,000 (about $75,000) to UNICEF Korea.

UNICEF Korea announced on the 19th that Winter’s contribution made her a new member of the organization’s major-donor circle, the UNICEF Honors Club.

Winter said she made the donation to help children affected by recent conflicts and disasters regain a sense of normalcy in their daily lives.

The funds will be used entirely to provide physical and psychosocial care, nutrition, and health services that support the healthy development of children in conflict- and disaster-affected areas.

Known for her charitable work supporting marginalized communities, Winter said, \”I wanted to give back the tremendous love my fans have shown me. I hope children around the world can keep pursuing their dreams, attend school, and enjoy ordinary days regardless of their circumstances.\”

Cho Mi-jin, Secretary General of UNICEF Korea, said, \”Children around the globe are enduring even tougher times amid ongoing conflicts and disasters. We are deeply grateful to Winter for her generous support and for standing with us in the hope that children everywhere can reclaim peaceful daily lives.\”
