[Sports Today reporter Lim Si-ryeong] Rolling Hall, long regarded as a shrine for live music, has teamed up with Paradise Music Lab Company (PARADISE MUSIC LAB) to launch CMYK 2026, a rookie-discovery project that promises unprecedented support for emerging artists.
The ROLLINGHALL ROOKIE DISCOVERY: CMYK initiative began in 2022 and arrives at its fifth edition this year. As Rolling Hall’s in-house incubator, the program has become a proving ground for new acts—selecting promising talent and offering benefits such as on- and offline festival stages, dedicated concerts, and professionally produced live clips.
For CMYK 2026, Rolling Hall and Paradise Music Lab have significantly expanded the program’s scope to identify next-generation artists poised for the global stage. The winner will be awarded a rare opportunity to perform at Japan’s largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2026.
Beyond the festival slot, the winning team will receive record production and management support through Paradise Music Lab, a performance slot at Rolling Hall’s Sound Planet Festival, and a solo show at Rolling Hall—concrete infrastructure designed to help artists develop sustainable careers.
“By partnering with Paradise Music Lab, we’ve evolved the competition model,” said Rolling Hall CEO Kim Cheon-seong. “This isn’t just a contest to pick a winner. By offering the victor a global debut at Summer Sonic, we aim to be a reliable partner that strengthens artists’ ability to stand on their own.”
CMYK 2026 is open to any musician with an original musical vision, regardless of genre. Teams that pass the first-round document and track screening will advance to the live finals at Paradise City, where they will compete on stage.
