[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] K-pop breakout girl group NMIXX underscored its rising profile at Major League Baseball on April 6 (local time).
NMIXX performed a pregame set and participated in the ceremonial first-pitch events at the regular-season matchup between the San Francisco Giants and the Philadelphia Phillies at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California.
Representing the group, member Seol-yun took the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch, while Giants outfielder and South Korea national team captain Lee Jung-hoo — who helped lead Korea to the 2026 World Baseball Classic quarterfinals in March — served as the catcher, adding an extra moment of fanfare.

Seol-yun, who previously threw a ceremonial first pitch last year after being invited by an MLB club, signaled the start of the game with a confident, polished delivery. NMIXX then performed their hit \”Blue Valentine\” and voiced support for the home team, the San Francisco Giants.
\”Blue Valentine,\” released last October and a chart-topper in South Korea, has also maintained long-running placements on U.S. charts such as Mediabase’s Top 40 radio chart and Billboard’s Pop Airplay.
NMIXX is currently wrapping up the North American leg of their first world tour, EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER. The group played Toronto on March 29, Brooklyn on March 31, National Harbor on April 2, Irving on April 4, and Oakland on April 7 — with all five shows selling out, a clear sign of their local momentum.
As the North American run nears its close, NMIXX will deliver a finale in Los Angeles on April 9. Beginning in June, they will launch the Asia leg of the tour with stops in Bangkok, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, with additional dates to be announced later.
