Suseong Artpia will present a lobby concert at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday the 7th in the main theater lobby, offering residents a chance to encounter live music in a familiar, everyday setting.

The concert is part of the 2026 Suseong Renaissance Project, co-planned and produced with the Daegu Music Association. Organized as an open-lobby event, it lowers barriers to experiencing music. The free, weekday-afternoon series is designed to showcase a wide range of genres and formats while providing local artists with ongoing stage experience.

The program blends opera arias with classical favorites. Selections include the Brindisi from La Traviata, “Nessun Dorma” from Turandot, and the Toreador Song from Carmen, alongside more familiar tunes such as “Hakuna Matata,” “Funiculì, Funiculà,” and “This Land Is Your Land,” so audiences who aren’t accustomed to classical music can enjoy the performance.

The lineup includes the Fedora Ensemble, made up of local vocalists, and the Dreaming Children Chamber Choir. The Fedora Ensemble features sopranos An Ye-ri, Lee Shin-yu, and Kim Chae-won; tenor Lee Kyung-min; baritone Kang Ryeon-ho; and pianist Seo In-ae. The group aims to make classical music more accessible through the young singers’ vibrant yet measured harmonies.

The lobby concerts will run monthly on the first Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from April through December in the Suseong Artpia lobby. Admission is free with advance registration. Programming will range from film music and string ensembles to vocal, jazz, and chamber performances. For inquiries, call 053-668-1800
