2AM’s Lee Chang-min Shines in ‘Mumyeongjeonseol’: What His 6th Place Finish Means for His Career

[TV Daily Reporter Kim Han-gil] Lee Chang-min, a member of the vocal group 2AM, added a new milestone to his career with his run on MBN’s trot audition series Mumeongjeonseol.

He finished sixth in the show’s final, held on the 13th, earning a place among the top seven contestants.

After the broadcast, he posted on social media: “Thank you so much to everyone who cheered for Mumeongjeonseol. I finished in the top seven, placing sixth overall. I will continue growing into an even better artist.”

Throughout the competition, Lee showcased his characteristic emotive vocals and commanding stage presence, demonstrating that he can handle both ballads and trot. His final performance—a rendition of Namjin’s “Bin Jige”—drew praise for its depth and expressive tone.

Since debuting with 2AM in 2008, Lee has worked across ballads, soundtracks and musical theater. Critics and viewers say the show expanded his musical range and revealed new possibilities for his career.

Meanwhile, 2AM is slated to perform in Seoul this June, when the group will meet fans.
