Girl group LE SSERAFIM has sampled “Macarena” for the title track of their new release.
LE SSERAFIM will release their second full-length album, PUREFLOW Pt. 1, on May 22. The title song, “BOOMPALA,” incorporates a sample from “Macarena,” which spent 14 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
Members Kim Chaewon and Kazuha appeared on the cable channel tvN’s variety show “Amazing Saturday” on May 16. They disclosed for the first time that “BOOMPALA” samples “Macarena” and that the choreography includes the song’s signature moves.
The album, set to be released at 1 p.m. on May 22, features 11 tracks. It charts the five members’ growth as they faced their fears and highlights the strengthened bond between them.
