특위는 오는 24일 오전 10시 사장 후보자(김태균 전 행정1부시장)에 대한 인사청문회를 개최합니다. 특위는 사장 임용절차를 위해 시의회 인사청문회 조례에 따라 지난 10일 인사청문요청안을 제출받은 후 위원 선임 과정을 거쳐 구성을 마무리했습니다.

특위는 서울교통공사 사장 후보자에 대한 인사청문회를 통해 경영능력 및 정책수행능력에 대한 철저한 검증을 수행해 서울시 대표 공기업인 서울교통공사의 운영 효율화 및 시민 편의를 높이기 위한 적합한 인재인지에 대해 투명하고 객관적으로 검증할 예정입니다. 지방자치법에 근거한 청문회 조례에 따라 실시된 것으로 서울시 지방공사의 사장과 지방공단의 이사장 등 채용에 있어 시의회가 시민을 대신해 후보자의 역량을 검증하고 인사 과정의 공정성을 확보하기 위해 실시하는 것입니다.

이경숙 위원장은 “서울교통공사는 서울시 산하기관 중 규모가 가장 큰 공기업으로 만성적인 재정적자, 시설의 노후화, 노사관계 등 해결이 필요한 현안들이 적지 않다”며 “사장 후보자에 대한 인사청문회를 통해 경영 능력과 정책수행 능력 등을 투명하고 객관적으로 검증하고 살펴볼 계획”이라고 말했습니다.

인사청문회를 통해 검증한 내용은 시의회 인사청문회 조례에 따라 인사청문요청안이 제출된 날부터 20일 이내에 청문회를 마치도록 규정돼 있다고 합니다. 따라서 인사청문 경과보고서를 작성 후 오는 30일 이내 서울시로 송부해야 합니다.

행정고시 38회 출신인 김 후보자는 서울시에서 기획담당관, 정책기획관, 행정국장, 상수도사업본부장, 대변인, 경제정책실장 등 주요 보직을 두루 거쳤습니다.

The committee will hold a confirmation hearing for the nominee, former First Deputy Mayor for Administration Kim Tae-gyun, at 10:00 a.m. on the 24th. The council completed forming the panel after receiving the hearing request on the 10th and appointing members in accordance with the council’s confirmation hearing ordinance. A graduate of the 38th national public service examination, nominee Kim has held a range of senior posts in Seoul’s city government, including planning officer, policy planning officer, administrative director, head of the Waterworks Business Headquarters, spokesperson, and director of economic policy.
