[iNews24 reporter Seol Jae-yun] Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, criticized former People Power leader Han Dong-hoon’s remark on the 14th that “it wasn’t former President Yoon Suk Yeol&re; who picked me but the Republic of Korea,” calling him “the nation’s top blabbermouth.”
Cho wrote on social media, “Only after learning that Yoon Suk Yeol&re; was trying to destroy him did the man who once supported impeachment attempt to deceive the public with a forked tongue.”

Earlier, Han told Japan’s Nikkei newspaper in an interview that, in response to accusations of betrayal, “It was not former President Yoon Suk Yeol&re; who selected me, but the Republic of Korea.”
Cho dismissed that as “the narcissistic remark of someone who led political prosecutors under Yoon Suk Yeol&re; when he served as prosecutor general and who acted like an heir apparent during Yoon Suk Yeol&re;’s administration.” He added, “Neither the justice minister nor the People Power emergency committee chair was elected by the people — Yoon Suk Yeol&re; ‘picked’ them,” and said that Yoon Suk Yeol&re; and Han’s relationship was simply that of “boss and henchman.”
Cho also noted that when prosecutors sought an arrest warrant for then-Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, now president, Han insisted in the National Assembly that “Lee Jae-myung is at the center of large-scale corruption,” arguing that an arrest was necessary.
He suggested Han likely believed that once Lee was detained, Han himself would be positioned to become president.
Cho urged Han to tell the public whether he still stands by his remarks made in the National Assembly at the time.
