Han criticized the People Power Party leadership under Jang Dong‑hyuk, saying, \”The ‘Yoon Again’ faction is trying to override the public’s will.\”

At Gyeongdong Market in Dongdaemun on March 22, Han told supporters that, despite the Democratic Party government’s incompetence, voters are actually more disappointed with the People Power Party.

Referring to disciplinary measures against pro‑Han lawmakers from the Ethics Committee under Jang Dong‑hyuk — measures that courts have repeatedly stayed — Han said, \”They purge those who opposed ‘Yoon Again,’ and even after courts repeatedly embarrass them by issuing injunctions, no one takes responsibility.\”

He said the fact that support for the Democratic Party has overtaken the People Power Party even in Daegu and North Gyeongsang \”shows that unjust and incompetent politics cannot be tolerated even in the conservative heartland.\”

When asked about a possible run in upcoming by‑elections or special elections, he declined to give specifics, saying, \”Our urgent and vital task now is rebuilding the conservative movement.\”

After his remarks at the market, Han exchanged barbs on social media with Rep. Kwon Young‑se, who once chaired the party’s emergency committee.

Han said, \”There are even people who brazenly say, ‘Even if martial law were reinstated, I would not participate in the vote to lift it,’\” prompting Kwon to respond.

At a Kwanhun Club forum in February last year, Kwon said he did not participate in the vote to lift martial law that day and that he would not have voted even if he had been present in the National Assembly.

On social media, Kwon wrote that Han — who emphasized party unity during the 22nd general election — now criticizes the party every time he speaks, and added that if Han even vaguely plans to return to the party someday, he should exercise restraint.
