A video of a woman who appeared on a baseball broadcast has ignited discussion across online forums and social media.
Widely shared for the woman’s striking appearance, the clip amassed millions of views within hours. But a closer examination suggests the footage was very likely generated by artificial intelligence and is not authentic.
In the footage she sits in the stands wearing a white T‑shirt and jeans, watching the game and making small, natural facial movements — even briefly biting her lower lip.
The overlay graphics were designed to resemble live broadcast displays, which made the clip convincing at first glance. Still, sharp‑eyed baseball fans spotted inconsistencies.

The clearest giveaway was the scoreboard across the top of the screen. The pitcher field listed Kim Seo‑hyun of the Hanwha Eagles — an active player — while the batter field showed Jo In‑sung, a celebrated figure who retired in 2017 and now works as a coach. Having two figures from different eras appear in the same plate appearance is impossible in reality.
Viewers also flagged other odd details, such as English commentary on the audio track despite the clip appearing to be from a South Korean professional baseball telecast.
The episode underscores how increasingly sophisticated AI tools can fabricate convincing but false content and spread misinformation. It also highlights the need for the public to approach digital content with a critical eye.
